About Joe Backer

Joseph M. Backer is a member of The Backer Law Firm, LLC. He received his Juris Doctorate from the University of Missouri-Kansas City School of Law. He received his Bachelor of Arts Degree from the University of Missouri-Columbia. Mr. Backer is admitted to practice law in the trial, appellate, and Supreme Courts in Kansas and Missouri, in addition to the United States Court of Appeals for the Eighth Circuit & 10th Circuit.

Mr. Backer has tried approximately 30 jury trials to verdict and hundreds of bench trials and hearings. Mr. Backer's civil trial experience includes personal injury, premises liability, construction litigation, civil rights litigation, employment discrimination, bankruptcy and franchise litigation.

Mr. Backer's professional affiliations include the American Bar Association Litigation Division, the Missouri Bar Association, the Kansas City, Missouri Metropolitan Bar Association (member, Civil Law Committee and Tort Law Committee), and the Kansas Bar Association.
